Julie   Ballesteros
   We at ILS are very happy to welcome Julie Ballesteros to the Rapid Spanish Classroom Team.  As a certified bilingual teacher  with the Austin Independent School District, Julie won the coveted Teacher of the Year Award in her last year as a public school teacher.  
     As a young girl, Julie dreamed of one day becoming a teacher, it was truly her heart's desire.  After college, with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, from Sul Ross Rio Grande College, Julie went on to become a classroom teacher, a reading intervention specialist, a team leader and a  literacy coach.  She provided bilingual  and ESL  (English as a Second Language) instruction to students.  Julie was team leader for the  accelerated reading summer program SOAR/SUCCESS.   
    Julie brings to the ILS table many gifts.  With her years of teaching experience and native speaking ability,  she's very supportive, approachable and sincerely wants all her students to learn.  You will also find that she loves to laugh and has a great sense of humor,
