Spanish For Construction Sites

Close the Language Gap: Learn Spanish!

¿Habla Español? If you don't, it's time to learn--or face safety infractions, injury lawsuits, and incredibly high employee turnover. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Spanish  represent nearly 30 percent of construction laborers. That national figure often jumps higher on the job. "Eighty percent of our construction force are Spanish speakers," says a local superintendent with a large Texas based construction company. Such diversity presents obvious challenges for builders, who must somehow communicate technical directions, safety information, and more, without the benefit of a common language. The obvious solution? Teach your employees Spanish with "construction Spanish" classes that teach builders the basics ("¿Dónde está tu casco?" or, "Where is your hard hat?").

Accelerated Learning also called “Superlearning” is the most advanced teaching and learning method available today. Based on over 30 years of brain/mind research, the method promotes long term memory through the usage of “true-to-life” dramatized situations. Various aspects of the method include: games, role play, costumes, props, music and lots of laughter. Class materials  include beautifully illustrated insert materials and script dialogs that participants receive as they learn each concept, which goes into their binder notebook.  Audio CDs are also included which students will find excellent for future self study.

Quote from the May 18th, 2007 workshop:

Just a quick line to let you know how much I've appreciated the Construction Spanish
seminar last month. Doing Safety inspections on construction sites all the time, the
Construction Spanish seminar sure has made my life a whole lot more productive.
Barry's presentation and personal attention to the students, makes the class interesting
and productive. Please keep me in the loop about anymore Construction Spanish
seminars.
